Accessibility

American Airlines is committed to providing digital experiences that are accessible and usable for all customers.

We want all customers to be able to access information, book and manage travel, and use our digital services with confidence. We continually work to improve accessibility across our websites, mobile applications and other digital services, including for customers who use assistive technologies.

Our commitment to accessibility

We work to make our digital experiences accessible and easy to use for all customers. Whether you use a screen reader, voice recognition software or another assistive technology, accessibility is an important part of how we design, develop and improve our digital services.

Our digital services are designed to comply with applicable accessibility laws, regulations and requirements. This includes Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services also known as the European Accessibility Act.

Our teams regularly evaluate, test and improve our digital services to help identify and address accessibility barriers. We support these efforts through accessibility training, employee education and ongoing improvements, including training customer service teams on applicable accessibility requirements. Accessibility testing may include automated testing tools, manual reviews, assistive technologies and feedback from customers who rely on these technologies
